Image Prompt Ambiguity & Drift Check
Audit AI image prompts before you spend credits: ambiguous words quoted back, reference attributes that drift, and a safer rewrite per prompt. Image Prompt Ambiguity & Drift Check reads your AI image prompts the way a literal-minded generator might, before you spend generation credits.
Example input
Use the Image Prompt Ambiguity & Drift Check on these 3 prompts. For P2 the reference image is: adult woman, shoulder-length chestnut hair, round gold glasses, green cardigan, cafe background. P1: "a cozy scene with a girl wearing glasses at a table, a bat and a crane next to her, a sign that says OPEN, her hand showing six fingers" P2 (edit the reference): "put the same woman at a beach, smiling" P3: "a stamp design with a mouse on a plant, minimalist, in a mixed style, a night version and a day version"
Example output
Mode: per-prompt (T/R) — 3 prompts — issues: A1 5 / A2 6 / A3 3 / A4 3 / A5 0
## Intake
- **Mode:** mixed batch. P1 is Mode T (text-to-image, no reference). P2 is Mode R (the reference is described attribute by attribute, so A2 runs against it). P3 is Mode T (text-to-image, no reference).
- **Prompts:**
- P1: a cozy multi-subject scene (girl, bat, crane, sign, six-finger hand).
- P2: edits a reference portrait to a new location.
- P3: a stamp design in a day version and a night version.
- **Task type:**
- P1: text-to-image.
- P2: image-to-image / edit of a reference.
- P3: text-to-image.
- **Intent (as understood):**
- P1: a cozy picture of a girl in eyeglasses at a table, with a bat and a crane beside her, a sign reading OPEN, and her hand held up with six fingers (assumed deliberate).
- P2: the same woman, unchanged, now at a beach and smiling.
- P3: a minimalist stamp design with a mouse on a plant, delivered as a night and a day variant.
- **Reference as described (P2 only):** adult woman, shoulder-length chestnut hair, round gold glasses, green cardigan, cafe background. I have not seen the image itself, only this description.
## P1 — Cozy scene with girl, bat, crane, sign and six-finger hand
### Issues
| # | Check | Quoted words | Why it may go wrong ("commonly renders as") | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | A1 | "a bat" | Flying mammal vs. baseball/cricket bat. "next to her" and "cozy scene" do not settle it; a sports bat held or leaning by the table is a common reading. | "a flying-mammal bat (the animal)" |
| 2 | A1 | "a crane" | Bird vs. construction machine. Nothing settles it; a tower or lifting crane in the background is a common reading. | "a long-legged crane bird" |
| 3 | A3 | "a girl wearing glasses at a table, a bat and a crane next to her, a sign that says OPEN, her hand showing six fingers" | 3 subjects and about 8 independent attributes (cozy, glasses, table, bat, crane, sign, sign text, six-finger hand). Attributes commonly leak between subjects (for example, glasses or a sign texture landing on the animals). | Split: P1a scene, P1b hand (see rewrite) |
| 4 | A4 | "a sign that says OPEN" | Legible text commonly comes out garbled. One short word is the best case, so the risk is lower than for a long slogan, but letters can still be wrong. | Keep the single word "OPEN", or use a blank sign and add the text in an editor |
